The Oath and the Promise !
“For the Promise that he should be heir of the world, was not to Abraham, or to his Seed (promised Child), through the law, but through the righteousness of faith !” Romans 4:13
Let us look more closely at this wonderful (full of wonder) and powerful story woven throughout all of Scripture.
“Now to Abraham and his Seed were the Promises made. He (Jehovah, Yehuwah) saith not, to seeds, as of many; but as of One, And to thy Seed, which is Christ !” Galatians 3:16
Now “there was in the days of Herod, the king of Judaea, a certain priest names Zacharias (YAH, has remembered), of the course of Abia (ref: I Chronicles 24:10): and his wife was of the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elizabeth (Oath of El’, the Almighty). And they were both righteous before GOD, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the LORD blameless ! . . . This I say then, Walk in the Spirit and ye shall not fill full the carnal desires of the flesh . . . ref: Galatians 5:16
Zechariah & Elizabeth = YAH has remembered the Oath (Promise, Covenant) of El’ (The Almighty) !
And the angel answering said unto him (Zachariah), I am Gabriel (valiant man, warrior of El’), that stand in the Presence of GOD (The Almighty); and I am sent to speak unto thee, and to shew thee these Glad Tidings !”
Luke 1:5-19
“And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from GOD unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth . . . . The land of Zabulon, and the land of Nephthalim, by the way of the sea, beyond Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles (heathen) . . . the people which sat in darkness saw great Light; and to them which sat in the shadow of death, Light is sprung up ! . . .” Luke 1:26 and ref: Matthew 4:15-16
Note: All mankind sat in the shadow of looming judgment, retribution, penalty and death. For “the wages of sin is death . . . And as by one man’s disobedience (Adam’s) many were made sinners . . . For all have sinned, and come short of the Glory (the righteous character) of GOD . . . So by the obedience of One shall many be made righteous !” ref: Romans 6:23, Romans 5:19 & Romans 3:23
“And the angel came in unto her, and said . . . . Behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name JESUS (YEH-HO-SHUA) !
YEH-HO-SHUA = Yehuwah’s Salvation, Deliverance, Freedom, Rescue, Victory, Conqueror !
And He shall be great (3173, megas-exceedingly mighty), and shall be called the Son of the Highest: And the LORD God (Yehuwah Elohim) shall give unto Him the throne of His father David: and He shall Reign . . . . For with GOD nothing shall be impossible !” Luke 1:31-33, 1:37.
“And his father Zechariah was filled with the Holy Spirit, and prophesied (spoke under inspiration), saying,
Blessed be the LORD God (Yehuwah Elohim) of Israel; for He hath visited (to see, to relieve) and redeem His people,
And He hath raised up an Horn (Mighty, Powerful One) of Salvation for us in the house of His servant David;
as he spake by the mouth of His holy prophets . . . . since the world began !” Luke 1:67-70
“For the LORD God said unto the serpent . . . . I will put enmity (hostility, hatred) between thee and the
woman (Zion), and between thy seed (ref: John 8:44) and her Seed; It shall bruise (crush) thy head, and thou shalt
bruise His heel !” Genesis 3:14-15.
“And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars. And she being with Child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered.
And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon . . . . that old serpent, called the
devil, and Satan . . . .
And she brought forth a Man Child, Who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron . . . . And out of His mouth goeth
a sharp sword, that with it He should smite the nations: and He shall rule them (4165 – tend as a Shepherd, feed,
pastor) with a rod of iron . . . . And her Child was caught up unto GOD, and to His throne !”
Revelation 12:1-5, 19:15.
“For the Word of GOD is quick (Living) and full of power, and sharper than any twoedged sword . . . !” Hebrews 4:12
“Men and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with us unto this day. Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that GOD (Jehovah, Yehuwah) had sworn
with an Oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, He would raise up Christ (Moshiac – The
Anointed Heir) to sit on his throne . . . .” Acts 2:29-30
“Him hath GOD (Yehuwah) exalted with His right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel,
and forgiveness of sins !” Acts 5:31
“That we should be saved from our enemies, and from all them that hate us . . . . For we wrestle not against
flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against
spiritual wickedness in high places . . . . ref: Ephesians 6:12
To perform the mercy Promised to our fathers (Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob), and to remember His holy
Covenant; the Oath which He sware to our father Abraham . . . . In hope of eternal Life, which GOD, that cannot lie,
Promised before the world began . . . . That He would grant unto us, that we being delivered out of the hand of
our enemies, might serve Him without fear, in holiness and righteousness before Him, all the days of our life !”
Luke 1:71-75
“Sing, O daughter of Zion; Shout, O Israel; be glad and rejoice with all the heart, O daughter of Jerusalem.
For the LORD (Jehovah, Yehuwah) hath taken away thy judgments, He hath cast out thine enemy: the King of
Israel, even the LORD, is in the midst (heart) of thee . . . .
Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances (hand written legal document, judgments, civil, ceremonial and
ecclesiastical law) that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to His cross. And having spoiled principalities and powers, He made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it ! . . . .

The LORD thy God in the midst (heart) of thee is mighty; He will save (deliver, rescue, heal and make thee
whole). He will rejoice over thee with joy; He will rest (engrave) in His love, and He will joy over thee with singing !”
Zephaniah 3:14-17
“Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of My hands; thy walls (dwellings) are continually before Me !”
Isaiah 49:16
“What shall we then say to these things? If GOD be for us, who can be against us?
He that spared not His Own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him, also freely give us all
things . . . . for we are joints heirs with Christ . . . . Who shall lay any thing to the charge of GOD’s elect? It is GOD
(Yehuwah) that justifieth. Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ (Moshiac – The Chosen Anointed Heir) that died, yea rather, that is risen again, ref: Romans 8:17
Who is even at the right hand of GOD, Who also maketh intercession for us !” Romans 8:31-34
“In Whom we have Redemption (ransom in full, deliverance, atonement, salvation) through His blood, the
forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace . . . . Wherefore I also . . . cease not to give thanks for you,
making mention of you in my prayers. That . . . .
The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; ye may know what is the Hope of his calling, and what is the
riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints. And what is the exceeding greatness of His power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of His mighty power, which He wrought in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead . . . .
And set Him at His Own right hand in the heavens !” Ephesians 1:7, 15-20
“For thus saith the LORD (Jehovah, Yehuwah), The heaven is My throne, and the earth is My footstool: where is the
house that ye build unto Me ?” Isaiah 66:1 & Acts 7:49
“If ye then be risen with Christ (by the Anointing), seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on
the right hand of GOD (Theos- The Almighty) !” Colossians 3:1?
“Who being the brightness of His glory, and the express image of His person, and upholding all things (even us)
by the Word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high !” Hebrews 1:3
“For unto which of the angels said He (Yehuwah) at any time, Sit on My right hand, until I make Thine enemies Thy footstool ?” Hebrews 1:13?
“Now of the things which we have spoken, this is the sum: We have such an High Priest . . . . made an High Priest
for ever after the order of Melchisedec (King of Righteousness and King of Peace) . . . . Who is set on the right hand
of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens.
A Minister of the sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle . . . . Know ye not, that ye are the temple of GOD, and that the Spirit of GOD dwelleth in you? . . . for the temple of GOD is holy, which temple we are ! . . . which the Lord (Adoni – Sovereign King) pitched, and not man. For every high priest is ordained to offer gifts and sacrifices: wherefore it is of necessity that this Man have somewhat also to offer . . . .” Hebrews 8:1-3

“And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never
take away sins: But this Man (Jesus, Yehushua), after He had offered One sacrifice for ever, sat down on the
right hand of GOD. From henceforth expecting till His enemies be made His footstool !” Hebrews 10:12
“For Christ (Moshiac – The Chosen and Anointed Heir) also hath once suffered for sins, the Just for the unjust,
that He might bring us to GOD, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened (raised to Life) by the Spirit . . . . Who is
gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of GOD (Theos- The Almighty); angels and authorities and powers being
made subject unto Him !” I Peter 3:18, 22
“Wherefore, seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight,
and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us. Looking unto
Yehushua (Jesus) the Author and Finisher of our faith ( I AM THAT I AM);
Who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right
hand of the throne of GOD (The Almighty) !” Hebrews 12:1-2
“And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope until the end.
And that ye be not slothful . . . . but fight the good fight of faith . . . and be followers of them who through faith
and patience inherit the Promises. ref: I Timothy 6:12
For when GOD (Jehovah, Yehuwah) made Promise to Abraham, because He could sware by no greater, He sware
by Himself, saying, Surely blessing I will bless thee . . . . !” Hebrews 6:11-14
“That the Blessing of Abraham might come on (fall upon) the gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might
receive The Promise of the Spirit through faith !” Galatians 3:14
“For He must reign , till He hath put all enemies under His feet . . . . And when all things shall be subdued unto
Him, then shall the Son also Himself be subject (in submission and obedience) unto Him that put all things under Him, that GOD (Theos- The Almighty) may be all in all !” I Corinthians 15:24-28
“Now unto Him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the throne of His glory
with exceeding joy . . . . To the only wise GOD our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now
and for ever. Amen !” Jude 1:24-25
