“As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in Him ! . . . For in Him dwelleth all the fulness of the
Godhead bodily !” Colossians 2:6-9
This text has been a difficult one for many since the time it was written. We often read, and re-read the Words spoken to us by the Lord Yehushua (Jesus) through Paul, knowing that there is something so simple, yet deeper which we are missing, and hunger for.
Lets look together at some of the key words in these texts, and see if their original greek meanings shed Light on the verses.
Christ = the Anointed One, the Anointing
Jesus (Yehushua) = JAH, YAH’s Saves, YAH’s Salvation (ref:Psalm 68:4)
Godhead = divinity, deity
Grace = the Divine Influence upon the heart, and It’s reflection seen in the life
“As ye have received Christ Jesus (the Anointing of YAH’s Salvation) the Lord (Sovereign reign of the King), so walk ye in Him !” Colossians 2:6
“Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lusts (carnal desires) of the flesh !” Galatians 5:16, 25
“Now the Lord is that Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty (freedom, as sons, and not as slaves) !” II Corinthians 3:17
“For the Anointing which ye have received of Him, abideth in you . . .!” I John 3:27
“Which is Christ (The Anointed One, the Anointing) in you, the Hope of Glory !” Colossians 1:27
* “For in Him, dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead (divinity, deity) bodily !” Colossians 2:9
“For He Whom the God (The Almighty, Father) hath sent, speaketh the Words of God: for God (Jehovah, Yehuwah) giveth not the Spirit by measure unto Him !” John 3:34
“For man shall not live by bread alone, but by every Word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God !”
“By the Word of the LORD (Jehovah, Yehuwah) were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the Breath (Spirit) of His mouth . . . . For He spake, and it was done; He commanded, and it stood (stands firm, remains sure forever) fast !” Psalm 33:6-9
“It is the Spirit that quickeneth (renews Life); the flesh profiteth nothing . . . The Words that I speak unto you, they are Spirit, and they are Life !” John 6:63
“So shall My Word be that goeth forth out of My mouth: It shall not return unto Me void, but It shall accomplish that which I please, and It shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it !” Isaiah 55:11
“And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among (in the midst of) us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the Only Begotten of the Father !” John 1:14
“Believest thou not that I Am in the Father, and the Father in Me ? the Words that I speak unto you, I speak not of Myself: but the Father that dwelleth in Me, He doeth the works !” John 14:10
“I Am the Vine, ye are the branches: he that abideth in Me (The Word), and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without Me, ye can do nothing ! If ye abide in Me (The Word), and My Words . . . . the Words that I speak, are Spirit and they are Life . . . abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. For herein is My Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit !” John 15:5-8
“Let the Word of Christ (The Word of Anointing) dwell in you richly, in all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with Grace (the Divine Influence upon the heart, and It’s reflection seen in the life) in your hearts to the LORD !” Colossians 3:16
“Blessed* be the LORD (Yehuwah), that hath given Rest unto His people Israel, according to all that He Promised: For there hath not failed One Word of all His good Promise, which He promised by the hand of Moses His servant !” I Kings 8:56
“For we are made partakers of Christ (The Anointed One, the Anointing), if we hold fast the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end !” Hebrews 3:14
“Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious Promises: that by these ye might be made partakers of the Divine nature . . . !” II Peter 1:4
“That they all may be one; as Thou Father, art in Me, and I in Thee, that they also may be one in Us: so that the world may believe that Thou hast sent Me !” John 17:21
“To whom God (Jehovah, Yehuwah) would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery . . . . for without controversy, great is mystery of Godliness . . . . among the gentiles; which is Christ in you, the Hope of Glory !” Colossians 1:27 and ref: I Timothy 3:16
May the LORD bless you and keep you, according to His sure Word of Promise. May He lift up the Light of His Countenance upon you each and every one, and give you the assurance of His Peace !
