The Word of Life !

“The excellency of knowledge is, that Wisdom giveth Life to them that have It . . . . and The Words that I speak unto you, they are Spirit, and they are Life.”               Ecclesiastes 7:12 & John 6:63

“And of Him are ye in Christ Jesus, Who of (by) GOD is made unto us Wisdom, and Righteousness,
and Sanctification, and Redemption !”   I Corinthians 1:30

Do we really believe ?

“For the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us . . . !”   John 1:14

“The Creative energy that called the worlds into existence is in the Word of God. This Word imparts power; it begets life. Every command is a Promise; accepted by the will, received into the soul, it brings with it the Life of the Infinite One. It transforms the nature and re-creates the soul in the image of God.

The Life thus imparted is in like manner sustained. “By every Word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God”  Matthew 4:4.”     – Education  p.126

And “Jesus declared to Satan, “It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the LORD (Jehovah, Yehuwah) thy God (Elohim – Mighty One).” These words were spoken by Moses to the children of Israel when they thirsted in the desert, and demanded that Moses should give them water, exclaiming,
Is the LORD among us, or not?” Exodus 17:7.

“If thou knewest the Gift of GOD, and Who it is that saith to thee, Give Me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of Him, and He would have given thee Living Water . . . . Jesus (Yehushua) said unto them, I Am the Bread of Life: he that cometh to Me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on Me (The Word) shall never thirst !”   John 4:10, 6:35

God had wrought marvelously for them; yet in trouble they doubted Him, and demanded evidence that He was with them. In their unbelief they sought to put Him to the test. And Satan was urging Christ to do the same thing. God had already testified that Jesus was His Son (ref: Matthew 3:17, II Peter 1:17 and Matthew 17:5); and now to ask for proof that He was the Son of God would be putting God’s Word to the test, — tempting Him.

And the same would be true of asking for that which God had not Promised. It would manifest distrust, and be really proving, or tempting, Him.

We should not present our petitions to God to prove whether He will fulfill His Word, but because He will fulfill it; not to prove that He loves us, but because He loves us. For “Without faith it is impossible to please Him: for he that cometh to God must believe that He Is (I AM THAT I AM), and that He Is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.” Hebrews 11:6.
  – Desire of Ages p.125

For faith worketh by love . . . . Not that we loved Him, but that He loves us, and sent His Son to be the propitiation (atonement, reconciliation, ransom)  for our sins !”     Galatians 5:6  & I John 4:10

May the LORD reveal Himself in ever greater beams of Light, to you and your families. And may each one of us learn today, to trust Him with all of our hearts !
