Wherefore, as the Holy Spirit saith . . . Today, if you will only hear His Voice !
“God, Who at sundry times and in diverse manners spake in time past unto our fathers by the prophets . . . . Hath in these last days spoken unto us by His Son . . . by Whom also He made the worlds !”
Hebrews 1:1-3 & Psalm 33:6-9)
The same power that Christ exercised when He walked visibly among men is in His Word. It was by His Word that Jesus healed disease and cast out demons; by His Word He stilled the sea and raised the dead, and the people bore witness that His Word was with power. He spoke the Word of God, as He had spoken to all the prophets and teachers of the Old Testament. The whole Bible is a manifestation of Christ (the Anointed One, the Anointing) ! ref: John 6:63
The Scriptures are to be received as God’s Word to us, not written merely, but spoken. When the afflicted ones came to Christ, He beheld not only those who asked for help, but all who throughout the ages should come to Him in like need and with like faith !
When He said to the paralytic, “Son, be of good cheer; thy sins be forgiven thee;” when He said to the woman of Capernaum, “Daughter, be of good comfort: thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace,” He spoke to every other afflicted, sin-burdened ones who should seek His help in faith. Matthew 9:2 & Luke 8:48.
So with all the Promises of God’s Word. In them He is speaking to us individually, speaking as directly as if we could listen to His Voice. It is in these Promises that Christ communicates to us His grace* (G5485 – Divine Influence) and power. They are leaves from that Tree which is “for the healing of the nations.” Revelation 22:2. Received, assimilated, (and appropriated as your own), they are to be the strength of the character, the inspir-ation and sustenance of the life. Nothing else can have such healing power. Nothing besides can impart the courage and faith which give vital energy to the whole being !
For “the Words that I speak unto you, they are Spirit, and they are Life !” John 6:63
“He sent His Word and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions . . . O that men would Praise the LORD (Jehovah, Yehuwah) for His goodness, and for His wonder-filled works to the children of men !”
Psalm 107:20-22
“But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise . . . . And what saith it?
The Word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth and in thy heart: that is, the Word of faith, which we preach . . . For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession (to profess, and speak aloud) is made unto Salvation (deliverance, freedom, rescue, healing, and restoration) !” Romans 10:6-13
“So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God . . . !” Romans 10:17
And thus saith the LORD God Almighty . . .
“Like as a father pitieth his children, so the LORD (Jehovah, Yehuwah) pitieth them that fear Him. For He knoweth our frame; and He remembereth that we are dust.” Psalm 103:13-14
“Only acknowledge thine iniquity (mischief and perversity), that thou hast transgressed against the LORD thy God (Elohim – Mighty One), and ye have not obeyed My Voice, saith the LORD . . . Turn, O backsliding children, saith the LORD; for I Am married unto you . . . !” Jeremiah 3:13-14, 22
II Corinthians 4:6 & ref: Exodus 33:18-23 & 34:1-7 & John 17:3
“Let not your heart be troubled.” “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” John 14:1, 27
“But now, in Christ Jesus, ye who sometimes were far off (outer court), are now made nigh by the blood of Christ . . . . For He is our peace (shalom), Who hath made both God and man one (joined in union), and hath broken down the wall of partition between us . . . by a new and living Way, which He hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say His flesh . . . !” Ephesians 2:13-14, Hebrews 10:16-20 & Matthew 27:51
And “a Man shall be as an Hiding place from the wind, and a Covert from the tempest; as Rivers of Water in a dry place, as the shadow of a Great Rock in a weary land . . . !” Isaiah 32:2
“And Jesus (Yehushua) said unto them . . . I Am the Bread of Life: he that cometh to Me (the Word of God) shall never hunger; and he that believeth on Me shall never thirst . . . !” John 1:14, 6:35 & 4:10-14
Yea, “when the poor and needy seek water, and there is none, and their tongue faileth for thirst, I the LORD will hear them, I the God (Elohim – Mighty One) of Israel will not forsake them !”
Isaiah 41:17 & ref: John 4:715 & John 7:37-39
“Thus saith the LORD that made thee,” “I will pour Water upon him that is thirsty, and floods upon the dry ground: I will pour My Spirit upon thy seed, and My Blessing upon thine offspring.” Isaiah 44:2-3 & ref: Galatians 3:14*
“And in that day . . . . Today, if thou wilt hear His Voice . . . . thou shalt say, O LORD, I will praise Thee: though Thou wast angry with me, Thine anger is now turned away, and Thou Comfortedst me . . . . Behold, God is my Salvation (H3444); I will trust, and not be afraid: for the LORD JEHOVAH is my Strength and my Song; and He also is become my Salvation* . . .
Therefore with joy shall ye draw Water out of the Wells of Salvation . . . !” Isaiah 12:1-4 & ref: Hebrews 3:7
“Sing unto the LORD; for He hath done excellent things . . . . Cry out and shout, thou inhabitant of Zion: for great is the Holy One of Israel in the midst (heart) of thee !” Isaiah 12:5-6
