Redemption through His Blood and the Mystery of His Will !
Chapter 1.3
“In Whom we have Redemption through His blood (Life), the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His Grace; Wherein
He hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence (intellectual, moral insight) . . . .
Having made known unto us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure which He hath purposed
in Himself . . . . !” Ephesians 1:7-9
It is important to note here, the ‘tenses’ of the verbs which are used throughout the New Testament (Covenant) Scriptures. For the LORD through Paul, clearly states here, that we now “have” redemption!
Redemption = (G629, 3083), ransom in full, salvation, deliverance, to loosen, atonement (at-one-ment)
And in this redemption is the Forgiveness of our sins !
Forgiveness = (G859, 863), freedom, pardon ,deliverance, liberty, to remit !
There is something powerful and full of beauty in the word forgiveness. For if we look closely at this word itself, it literally in the English means, to give for . . .
Forgive = to give in exchange for !
So when we cry unto our Father in heaven to for-give our sins, transgressions and iniquities, that is exactly what He does; According to His Own Word, He takes all of our sins and lays them upon His Son, and gives in exchange for our filthiness, the perfect righteousness of His Son Yehushua ha Moshiac (Jesus Christ).
“All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD (Jehovah, Yehuwah) hath laid on Him the iniquity (perversity, Mischief) of us all !” Isaiah 53:6
“For He hath made Him to be sin for us, Who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of GOD in Him !” II Corinthians 5:21
“For by one man’s disobedience (Adam’s) many were made sinners . . . for all have sinned and come short of the glory (righteous character of GOD) . . . . So by the obedience of One (Jesus Christ) shall many be made righteous!” Romans 5:19 ref: 3:23
And that is the mystery, which hath been kept secret from the foundation of the world, and that is His will, which He hath purposed in Himself !
The mystery of His Will . . . . which He hath purposed in Himself ?
His Will, His Testament, His Eternal Covenant . . . . The Oath that was made before the foundation of the world. This Oath (Will, Covenant) was made between The Almighty Father and His Only-Begotten Son. In the book of the prophet Zechariah, we have been given a glimpse of this glorious Truth, when the LORD said,
“He will build the temple of the LORD, He shall bear the glory, and He shall be a priest upon His throne; and the Counsel of Peace shall be between Them Both !” Zechariah 6:13
The Almighty Father revealed to His Only-Begotten Son His beautiful plan in creating mankind; brothers and sisters for His Son. He then told His Son, the first Begotten of all creation (ref: Revelation 1:5), the fall which man would make, because of his doubt and disobedience. And then The Father revealed to His Son the terrible price it would cost to redeem mankind, and make them holy, just as He.
But the Father Promised His Son, if He would hold fast to His Father’s hand, and walk in the power-filled Promises which He would give Him, and conquer every evil on our behalf; then He would count His Son’s righteousness as ours.
The Son of Almighty GOD, promised His Father, that He would give His Life freely on our behalf. To redeem the human race from all sin. And every day, since the fall of man in the garden of Eden, it has been the work of the Son of GOD to deliver us from the hand of the great deceiver, that old serpent the devil.
“In all their affliction He was afflicted, and the Angel of His Presence (Countenance) saved them: in His love and in His pity He redeemed them; and He bare them, and carried them all the days of old !” Isaiah 63:9
And finally, on that fateful day little over 2000 years ago, He lay His Life down on Calvary, a perfect Sacrifice; the Lamb of GOD, which taketh away the sin of the world ! And since that time He ever liveth to make intercession for us. And as our Great High Priest, He is cleansing the Sanctuary, making it pure, without spot, wrinkle or blemish.
This is the mystery kept secret from the foundation of the world. Christ in us, the hope of glory ! ref: Colossians 1:27
“Yehushua (Jesus) answered and said, Destroy this Temple, and in three days I will raise it up . . . to walk in newness of Life ! . . . . But this He spake of the Temple of His body !” John 2:19-21 & Romans 6:3-5
“Know ye not that ye are the Temple of GOD (Jehovah, Yehuwah), and that the Spirit of GOD dwelleth in you? . . . . What know ye not that your body is the Temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which ye have of GOD, and ye are not your own?
For ye are bought with a price . . . . even the precious blood of Christ, as a Lamb without blemish and without spot !” I Corinthians 3:16, 6:19-20 & I Peter 1:19
“That He might sanctify and cleanse it (the church, congregation) with the washing of Water by the Word. That He might present it to Himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish . . . . for we are members of His body, of His flesh, and of His bones !”
Ephesians 5:25-30
“Now ye are clean, through the Word which I have spoken unto you !” John 15:3
This work of sanctification, of setting apart and making His sanctuary, and His people clean and holy (without spot or wrinkle), is the work which He has done on Calvary in Himself, and is completing within each of us, who lay hold of the borders of His garments, and claim His Promise, that “If any man be in Christ Jesus, he is a new creation!” ref: II Corinthians 5:17 & Galatians 6:15
“Thy Way, O God, is in the Sanctuary ! Who is so great a God (Elohim) as our God?
For Thou art the God that doest wonders: Thou hast declared Thy Strength among the people. Thou hast with Thine Arm redeemed Thy people, the sons of Jacob and Joseph. Selah !” Psalm 77:13-15
“Come hither, and I will shew thee the Bride, the Lamb’s wife ! And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the Holy Jerusalem . . . . Thy city and Thy people which are called by Thy name ! . . . . having the glory of GOD: and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even a jasper stone, clear as crystal !” Revelation 21:2, 9-11 & ref: Daniel 9:19
“And for this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and be joined (become one) unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh . . . . What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two saith He, shall be one flesh. But he that is joined unto the Lord (Jesus, Yehushua) is One Spirit . . . therefore glorify GOD in your body and in your spirit (mind), which are GOD’s !”
Ephesians 5:31 & I Corinthians 6:16-20
For “this is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church (congregation, called-out) !”
Ephesians 5:32.
May the LORD bless you and cause us all to grow strong in faith,
and in the power of His Word in these dark, yet glorious final days before His return
in the clouds of heaven !
